China Res Cement to invest 500 mln yuan to expand capacity
China Resources Cement Holdings Ltd. plans to invest 500 million yuan to double production capacity at its cement plant in China's southern province of Guangxi, a source close to the deal said on Thursday.
The investment will boost China Resources Cement's stake in the Guangxi plant to about 91 percent from 73.5 percent, the source said.
Existing annual production capacity of the plant is 1.9 million tonnes, he added.
Trading in the company's share was suspended on Thursday, pending an announcement in relation to price sensitive information, the Hong Kong stock exchange said.
The company was not immediately available for comment.
